SAFE Programme
Eco-Ablution Blocks

President Cyril Ramaphosa initiated the SAFE programme, through the Department of Basic Education, to rid schools in the country of pit latrines.

Value Added Industries through the DEFF committed to build 29 ablution blocks in schools around the country to demonstrate the BIC technology. These have been completed and we are preparing to build another 58 blocks in the coming months for DBE.
